David F. Bicard, Ph.D., BCBA-D

CEO and Clinical Director

Dr. Bicard is a former preschool teacher at The Fred S. Keller School, a nationally recognized preschool in New York, and has permanent teaching certification within that state. He has published research in a variety of highly respected educational journals. Dr. Bicard has over 20 years of experience working with young children and families.

Andrea Herrington, RBT

Andrea Herrington is originally from Andalusia AL. She graduated from Troy University with a BS in Psychology in 2015. She is currently working on her MA in Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State University. She hopes to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and further her career in helping children. She has been with Great Leaps since February 2015. In her spare time she enjoys working out and playing with her four dogs.

Cindy Vieira, RBT

Cindy Vieira obtained her BS in Psychology from Troy University and is hoping to become certified as a BCaBA by the end of 2017. She is currently enrolled in the Applied Behavior Analysis masters program through Simmons College to become a BCBA. Cindy has been a member of the Great Leaps Learning Center team since February of 2015. She prefers to spend her free time relaxing at home and gaming online with friends and family.

Auriel Jackson, RBT

Auriel Jackson is originally from Montgomery AL. She graduated from Troy University with a BS in Psychology in 2015. She is currently working on her MA in Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State University to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. In her spare time, Auriel enjoys traveling, working out, and playing with her dog Kipper.

Hunter Stewart, RBT

Hunter Stewart is from Daphne, Alabama. He graduated from Troy University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2016. He has been with Great Leaps since June of the same year. In his spare time Hunter enjoys writing, spending time with his dog, and going to the movies. He published his first short story, in Troy's literary journal, The Rubicon in 2015.

Lauren Strange, M.S., RBT

Lauren Strange is originally from Albertville, AL. She is a 2010 graduate of Snead State Community College with a A.S. in psychology. In 2012 she earned a B.A. in Psychology from Auburn University and went on to obtain an M.S. in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University in 2015. Prior to working as a Registered Behavior Technician, Lauren served as a children's mental health therapist. She is currently pursuing BCBA certification through the University of West Florida. Lauren enjoys Auburn football, being outdoors with her dogs, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.

KD Barber, RBT

KD Barber is from Dothan AL. She has over ten years experience working with children ages 1-7, including her time as a kindergarten teacher. KD has an associates in Music and a BA in Education which she received in 2002 from the Baptist College of Florida. In her spare time, she enjoys music, web design and traveling with her husband.

Lauren Hunter, RBT

Lauren Hunter was born in Pensacola, Florida. She plans to pursue a degree in behavioral science from Troy University. Lauren has always had a passion for children with special needs and first began volunteering and working with children when she was 16 years old. Lauren has a blended family which includes her partner, her 7-year-old daughter, an 8-year-old stepdaughter, and a 16-year-old stepson. Her hobbies include flea market finds and restoring and repurposing old furniture.

Selena Chapman, RBT

Selena Chatman is from Marbury, Alabama. She is attending Troy University to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Applied Behavioral Analysis. Selena started at Great Leaps in January 2017 and plans to further her education after graduation to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. In her spare time Selena enjoys biking and spending time at the beach.

Jacqueline Prince, M.S.C.E., RBT

Jacqueline Prince is from Tuscaloosa AL. She has a BS in Biology from Stillman College and a M.S.C.E in Counseling and Psychology from The University of West Alabama. Jacqueline graduated from Capella University's Harold Abel School of Psychology in 2017 with a Post Graduate Certification in ABA. Over the last ten years, she has worked as a teacher and paraprofessional, including work with autistic children. In her spare time Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her two daughters, playing and coaching volleyball and working with underprivileged youth.
